CROATIA STUN BRAZIL TO ADVANCE TO THE FIFA WORLD CUP SEMIFINALS

Croatia has beaten the hot favorites Brazil 4-2 on penalties to advance to the semi-final stage of the Fifa world cup

The star-studded Brazil team got eliminated for the 4^th time at the quarter-final stage in the previous 5 editions of the mega event

The Croatian defense showed its class and composure only to be beaten by the class and flare of Neymar Jr. in the 106^th minute. On the edge of the box, Neymar executed a one-two with Paqueta before rounding the goalie and scoring a truly wonderful goal

It was thought to be the end of Croatia who somehow found a way to equalize in the 116^th minute, displaying courage and true determination. Orsic after a wonderful run on the left side crossed it with Petkovic putting it past the in-form Liverpool star Allison

Livakovic was the Croatian hero in the penalties. He superbly dived to his left to save the penalty from Real Madrid’s super-sub Rodrygo. Marquinhos belted his penalty but it hit the pole and ended Brazil’s dream of raising the majestic trophy

Croatia would face the winner of the quarter-final between Argentina and the Netherlands
