Money can not buy happiness? a literal myth

By Dua Sajjad

Money is a literal source of exchanging goods and fulfilling the basic necessities of life The question is whether the biggest motivation factor can bring in happiness and joy in to people’s life or not. It may be debatable for a huge amount of people, but in my personal perspective it is very clear, I personally believe that money is the solution to majority of complications.
Ever notice how its always the rich ones with above than average bank balance, on going businesses at the very best flow, good cars, own houses to be the first ones to step ahead and say ‘money can’t buy happiness’. What is even funnier that even deep down they know it is not true. Ofcourse what would your rich self sitting in a villa that costs billions of dollars would know about happiness and money.
More than 95 percent of the issues can be solved by money. Mostly people say mental peace is way more important than money, but still there are so many people,of the view that it will always be better to sit and cry in a Ferrari than a Mehran with no insurance and a broken bonnet and Air conditioner that has no chances of being fixed because of low finance.
It will forever be those famous billionaires to feed in to your mind that money is not that important and obviously why would you not listen, youre just so brainwashed by social media that even when something logical is being said out to you, you would prefer listening to kylie jenner’s advice over it. Why does not someone middle class or below it ever say money cannot buy happiness? because the only happiness they lack in their life is money.
My mother would always say in these years of my life, ‘rich people are never mentally happy, no matter how much money they have’ .After prices going up and the economy visually falling she has bit  changed her statement to ‘no matter how much mental peace you have, if you don’t have money you can never be happy’.
This may sound so biased, unjust and one sided towards you as its coming from a literal teenager that has no idea how to spend and earn, but ask yourself, even you know your every issue starts with money and ends with money, what are your daily calculations and talks at home? You want to save money ,But you cannot live without spending it, you want to use your car and take a fresh ride because you are mentally exhausted but guess what when was the last time petrol could ever be possibly affordable?yeah that is what I thought, you want to get admission in a top ivy school, so you could have all the efficient education you always needed, but guess what even the ivy league school is out of your league now.
It is not even that we are poor and the world is living at its absolute finest,Every one, every single soul is having money crisis now.In a hard time like this rich people should rather put their ego aside and be practical, teach people how they can earn money instead of sitting in front of a screen living in delusions and telling people they cannot be happy with money.
As a 4th year,in fact almost 5th year business student who has always studied about money, motivation, management of finance and poverty, I can surely stand with confidence and say MONEY CAN BUY HAPPINESS. If I live long enough in this world where people that fall below the rich class have no point of living, I will do a major survey through which i will prove this ‘money cannot buy happiness’ myth wrong.

What is it that money cannot solve? you are physically sick, you have money to get treated right, you are mentally sick and unhappy so what? you can get a therapist. So what if you just had a crying session, what is it that a shopping trip and your favourite junk food cannot fix?.But guess what it all costs money.
I must say in a hard time like this,if you want to live and be happy you need to start earning money,or else you will be left out behind in the cold and the world will keep moving, trust me being behind is not the best option
